However, you might also want to get your Shopify store to add an order status URL link to all notification emails for your customers. This allows them to check instantly on an email, and not have to try to find the link on your store.

Step 1 – Login

The first step is to login to your Shopify account. You can do this through the login screen and using your Shopify credentials.

Step 2 – Notifications

Now you need to choose the ‘Settings’ section of your Shopify store. This is located in the lower left corner of the administration screen. Within the ‘Settings’ page there are several options. Locate and click on the ‘Notification’ section. This can be found between ‘Gift Cards’ and ‘Files’ if you’re struggling to locate it.

Step 3 – Shipping Confirmation

Now you need to find the ‘Shipping’ section within the ‘Notification’ screen. Click on the option that reads ‘Shipping confirmation’ to edit that email notification.

Step 4 – Search for the Right Code

Within the page, you need to find the code:

This code might not exist. But we will cover that as well. If the code does exist, then you need to replace that line with the following code

Track the status of your order: ({order_status_URL})

You can modify the wording of the ‘Track the status of your order’ to whatever you want it to be. If you have a specific way of talking on your site, this can be a great way to instill that branding.

Step 5 – Save

Once you’ve completed the above step, click on the ‘Save’ button. This will make all your changes effective immediately. You can then copy the steps above to other notification emails that are about the post purchase. For instance adding them to the dispatched notification.
