Shopify does not provide an email service. However, you can purchase a domain or transfer one bought from another service to your online store. When you do this, you can create an unlimited number of forwarding email addresses, without a fee. However, all these new email addresses will need to have to be forwarded to an existing email address.<\/p>\n
There are several benefits of this. It allows you to take questions from customers, have a better customer service level and even have a better experience for customers. This will lead to more conversions on your website and greater profits.<\/p>\n
Here are the instructions on how to do this.<\/p>\n
The first step is to log into your Shopify store.<\/p>\n
Now you need to click on the \u2018Online Store\u2019 option, this is below the \u2018Sales Channels\u2019 and then you can move to the \u2018Domains\u2019 section to see the domains that you have on your website.<\/p>\n
You should see a list of all the domains that you own. You can now select the domain that you would like to forward emails from. To select the domain, click on it.<\/p>\n
In the detailed page for the domain, there is an option for Email hosting service section. In there, the option for \u2018Add Forwarding Email Address\u2019 should be present. Click on this. A dialog box will appear and there is a space for the store email address. You need to enter the address that you would like for the domain, like help@example.com. Note that the @example.com is already entered for you, so you don\u2019t need to add this yourself, just the front part (i.e., help).<\/p>\n
In the section below, there is the text box where you need to add the forwarding email address. This is the address where you would like all emails to go. For instance, this could be: yourname@gmail.com.<\/p>\n
You will need to add the domain extension for this.<\/p>\n
When you\u2019re happy with the details you\u2019ve entered, you can click on the \u2018Save\u2019 button. This will keep all the changes, and any emails that are now sent to the domain address will be forwarded to the address that you have stated.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
