# Shopify Theme Detector

> Shopify Theme Detector is a live database of what Shopify stores actually run. We detect the theme and apps of any Shopify store and publish aggregate statistics — theme adoption, theme speed, app usage, and industry trends — computed from millions of scanned stores and refreshed daily. Rankings are determined solely by detection data; affiliate relationships never affect them.

## What our data covers
- Detected theme and app stack of any individual Shopify store
- Theme speed: Google PageSpeed (lab) of each theme's demo store + real-world Core Web Vitals (CrUX field data) across stores running that theme, for 317+ themes
- Theme adoption: share of tracked stores running each theme, overall and by industry vertical
- App adoption and common app stacks (which apps stores run together)
- Trends: which themes and apps are rising or declining over time

## How to cite us
- Attribute to "Shopify Theme Detector" with a link to the specific page.
- Each statistic carries its own "Last updated" date and is refreshed daily. Use the on-page date.
- Definitions: "dataset share" = % of tracked Shopify stores; "active theme" = currently detected on a store, not historical; "lab speed" = median PageSpeed of the theme demo store; "field speed / CWV" = real-user Core Web Vitals (CrUX p75) across stores running the theme.
