ReConvert, now listed as Upsell.com, is built to raise average order value at the moment a shopper is most likely to buy again: right after they check out. It replaces the default Shopify thank-you page with an editable one that shows one-click post-purchase upsells and cross-sells, so a customer can add another product without re-entering payment. It is one of the most widely installed upsell apps on Shopify, and in our data it shows up most on dropshipping and DTC stores, where squeezing more revenue from each order is central to the model.

The core idea is timing. A post-purchase offer converts well because the sale is already made and the friction is gone, so ReConvert leans into that with a drag-and-drop thank-you page editor, one-click upsells, and cross-sell funnels. Beyond the thank-you page, it adds cart and checkout upsells, product bundles, and A/B testing so you can see which offers actually lift order value. Segmentation lets you show different offers to different buyers. The pricing scales with order volume and adds a small share of the extra revenue it generates, so the cost tracks the value.

Our take

Why it works: The post-purchase slot is the highest-converting upsell moment there is, because payment is already done and a one-click add carries no risk for the shopper. For any store with margin to give on a second product, this is one of the fastest ways to lift order value.

Where it shines: Speed and testing. The editor makes building funnels quick, and A/B testing plus segmentation mean you optimize on real numbers, not guesses. It is a mature tool with one of the largest user bases in its category.

Who needs it most: Stores that live on order value, especially dropshipping and DTC brands where the second product is where the margin is. If your catalog has natural add-ons or bundles, it earns its keep quickly.

Before you commit: Watch the revenue-share fee, since it takes a small cut of the upsell revenue on top of the monthly plan. Test a few offers, measure the net lift after that fee, and keep the upsells relevant. A pushy or off-target post-purchase offer can sour an otherwise good experience.

How this data works

This figure comes from live detection: we scan Shopify storefronts and read the apps each one runs, then express it as a share of the 3,500,000+ stores in our dataset. It is a share of every store in our dataset, not just recently scanned stores, so it moves more slowly than the month-over-month figures on our trends page. We report what is currently detected, not historical installs or Theme Store / App Store counts.

Independent by design: rankings are determined solely by live detection data. Affiliate relationships never affect what ranks or how stores are counted. Read the full methodology →
