Across 49 real Purity stores, 58.5% pass Google’s Core Web Vitals (median LCP 1.9s). Filtered to stores running only a few apps, that rises to 60%, isolating the theme’s own speed from the apps merchants pile on.
Purity, by Nextsky, is a $300 one-time premium theme aimed at merchants who want built-in conversion widgets rather than a minimal canvas they add apps on top of. The theme ships a product-finder quiz, in-cart upsells, a free-shipping progress bar, quick-buy, sticky cart, countdown timers, and infinite scroll out of the box. Beauty, jewelry, small-fashion, and food brands are the Theme Store's suggested fits, and the install base we detect sits in those categories.
The rating stands out more than the install share. A perfect positive score on an above-100 review count is rare at this adoption level, which tells you the merchants who do buy Purity like it, even if there are not many of them yet. The tradeoff is on performance: the conversion widgets each ship with their own JavaScript, and the field CWV data for Purity stores lands below the premium-theme median rather than inside it.
The rating is doing most of the work. A perfect positive score on triple-digit reviews is unusual at this scale. Treat it as a strong signal of merchant satisfaction, with the usual caveat that an under-adopted theme accumulates reviews from more motivated buyers than a default-of-the-platform does.
It is a conversion toolkit, not a canvas. Quiz, product finder, in-cart recommendations, countdown and sticky cart are built into Purity rather than bolted on through apps. Merchants who want those behaviors natively are the audience; merchants who prefer a lean theme and app-driven upsells will see the overlap and skip it.
Speed is the tradeoff. The field CWV data on the panel below shows a pass rate below the mid-tier premium-theme band and a median LCP longer than most of the fast end of the Theme Store. The same JavaScript that powers the conversion widgets is what pushes the Largest Contentful Paint higher. Stores that live or die on Core Web Vitals should audit this one on a staging store before buying.
The install base is small and focused. Adoption sits below the top 100 of the Theme Store, so Purity does not show up on the leaderboards. The stores we detect skew beauty and jewelry, with some fashion and food, which matches the Theme Store's own industry tags. Readers evaluating Purity for a very different vertical should treat it as a conversion-toolkit choice first and a vertical-fit choice second.

This figure comes from live detection: we scan Shopify storefronts and read the active theme each one runs, then express it as a share of the 3,500,000+ stores in our dataset. It is a share of every store in our dataset, not just recently scanned stores, so it moves more slowly than the month-over-month figures on our trends page. We report what is currently detected, not historical installs or Theme Store / App Store counts.
Independent by design: rankings are determined solely by live detection data. Affiliate relationships never affect what ranks or how stores are counted. Read the full methodology →
