Judge.me is a product reviews app for Shopify. Store owners use it to collect customer reviews and show them across their store, from star ratings under product titles to review widgets, carousels, and a dedicated reviews page. It supports text, photo, and video reviews, and it automatically asks customers for feedback after they order. It is one of the most installed apps on Shopify, in large part because most of that runs on a free plan with no cap on how many reviews you collect.
It also does a lot beyond the basics. Judge.me pushes star ratings into Google rich snippets so they appear in search results, syndicates reviews to Google Shopping, Meta, TikTok, and the Shop app, and imports existing reviews from Amazon, Etsy, or a rival platform when you move over. Its paid Awesome plan, at $15 a month, adds AI replies and review summaries along with coupon and referral tools that turn reviewers into repeat customers. It connects to more than 130 other apps and services too, so it fits into most existing setups.
Why it wins: The free plan is the real draw. Unlimited reviews, photo and video support, and Google rich snippets all cost nothing, while most rivals charge for at least one of those. Plenty of stores never need to pay a cent. That is how Judge.me became the most installed reviews app on Shopify.
Where it falls short: Design. The default widgets are plain, and they look basic next to an app like Loox that leads with sleek photo galleries. You can restyle them, and the paid plan gives more control, but getting them to look polished takes some work. Judge.me competes on features and price, not looks.
Who it suits: Almost any store, but two stand out. New stores get a strong reviews setup for free, which leaves more budget for ads or stock. Anyone leaving a costly app can import their old reviews in one step. If you want solid reviews without a big monthly bill, try this one first.
Worth knowing: There is a fair amount to set up. Widgets, request timing, syndication, and integrations all need configuring, so give it an hour rather than rushing. Verify your email sending domain so review requests actually land, and expect to style the free widgets to match your theme.

This figure comes from live detection: we scan Shopify storefronts and read the apps each one runs, then express it as a share of the 3,500,000+ stores in our dataset. It is a share of every store in our dataset, not just recently scanned stores, so it moves more slowly than the month-over-month figures on our trends page. We report what is currently detected, not historical installs or Theme Store / App Store counts.
Independent by design: rankings are determined solely by live detection data. Affiliate relationships never affect what ranks or how stores are counted. Read the full methodology →
